Maybe that meme had it right and Bowie was holding the fabric of reality together, once he left everything started to unravel.

With all the bad weather and bad news in the world

With all the bad weather and bad news in the world, i had almost completely forgotten today marks 5 years since my Dad passed away. And thursday would have been my mother's 95th birthday.

I don't have anything eloquent to say other than this: If you're listening out there, and you're young but thinking "I can't wait until i'm older!" Let me tell you, no you don't.

As a favor to me, enjoy every second of your 20s, 30s, 40s, whatever it is; because getting old is terrible. It's lonely, it's sad and it physically hurts. Enjoy every second you've got because you're going to blink your eyes and it'll all be gone and you'll be willing to give everything you have for one more day of youth. There's me and my parents at my Uncle Joe and Aunt Carol's house, probably 1974. And their Wedding, 1960. And me and my dad in our back yard on my first birthday, July 1967. It's all gone now, except for me.
